A tearless Bris and a calm night I have been the only mom I’ve seen who hasn’t cried at her son’s Bris (and I have cried at several, even when the child is not even my relative) and, if I have to thank anyone, it has to be Rabbi Claudio Kogan. He asked me if I preferred to be in a separate room while the actual Bris took place –I think that was a great suggestion–. He made the event special by asking close family members to make a wish for our baby Andrés. He also explained everything that was going on –which was ideal for our non-Jewish guests,– and filled the room with songs, inviting everyone to join him. The actual procedure went great and my baby slept like any other night before. The Rabbi also came the following day to make sure everything had gone well. Andrés is healing beautifully.
